Hannah Surrette

Hannah learned to train dogs the best way. She applied the principles of Sit Means Sit in the training of her one year old Australian Shepherd Hatrick, a dog and breed that has its own ideas on what well trained means. She took Hatrick, full of energy, wary of strangers and other dogs and turned her into a great example of a happy, calm and friendly canine. What did she do with all that puppy energy? That’s where agility courses, Frisbees, and acrobatics figured in. Training dogs was an easy transition for her after spending the last twelve years riding and training horses and competing in many local horse shows. When she is not training dogs, Hannah works part time as a Registered Nurse caring for patients at a physical rehabilitation hospital. After completing the Sit Means Sit apprenticeship program Hannah has joined our team to continue to share her passion for training with clients and their dogs to help them accomplish their training goals.

See What Our Clients Have to Say About Our Outstanding Dog Training Programs.

The Sit Means Sit program enabled me to take my two dogs Gaea and Dayzee on mountain hikes without worrying about them chasing wildlife. It's great to hike with my dogs and not worry about spooking the wildlife, thank you!

- Ryan Gilmer

I am impressed with Sit Means Sit skills and techniques in training and even more impressed with their results. We have seen unmanageable dogs that become ladies and gentlemen with their tutelage.

- Joe Bock

Sit Means Sit has changed my out of control lab, Zoey, into a well-behaved dog. She pulled on a leash so badly that I couldn’t even take her for walks. After only one week, she was heeling off leash and right by my side. It was amazing! Now I enjoy hikes, walks, and other outings with her. I truly believe that Sit Means Sit can train any dog.

- Lori Nelander

I just wanted to thank you and let you know how well Sammy and Sophie are responding to their training. Honestly, it feels like a miracle. We ran with both dogs on Monday morning. They both did a GREAT job. Thank you, already our lives have improved and both dogs seem happier.

- Karen & Kenn Pryor

I speak from experience when I say Sit Means Sit are excellent dog trainers. We receive many compliments on our well behaved dogs, thanks to Dave and his great staff. We are all much happier with our dogs as I know they are with us.

- Doreen Painz

Goliath could not be brushed. We’ve tried several trainers and training techniques and were even asked to leave a training class. After one session with Sit Means Sit, Goliath can be brushed without biting us! He even seems to enjoy it now!
